My latest plan is to re-con a spare cylinder head to put on my daily drive.
To cut a long story short his is mainly due to the engine being an ex spi and not having a heater sensor hole, and a recent water pump failure was overheating the motor and not showing up on my inline temp sensor.
Anyway once I started cleaning up the head I noticed that one of the hardened exhaust seats looked different, it looks like the insert has been put in upside down or changed at some time it is slightly raised!
Should I be worried about it? the seat is not coming out of the head and there is no gap under it.
