Where are the Vin numbers stamped on U.S. Mini’s. I am not sure of the year of the car, but the door glass slides open instead rolling down.
Thanks, Mike

If the sliding windows are original the only place (to my knowledge) that the Commission number because VIN’s wouldn’t have existed is on a plate in the engine bay, usually on the inside of the wing or on the bonnet slam panel.

Hey Mike,
The sliding windows don’t necessarily make any difference. A lot of people can mod newer cars to have the old style slide windows. I’ll be doing it myself. Only place I could think of from looking at my mini is looking in the engine bay (Front of car looking aft) left side wall or left of the hood latch of the front fender. Hopefully that helps. I know it’s not like in the states where it’s on your dash or side of the driver side door.
Do you know what model it is so we can narrow it down?? Carb or Injection?? Type of starter motor little things like that could help us narrow it down a bit more
Thanks for the replies. I know the car hasn’t modified any, it is all orignal. It does have carb. I don’t have the car with me at the moment, I will bring the Mini home in a month. The Mini is at my aunt’s house, I’ll give her a call today to get some more info. I’m trying to sort out the title before the car comes home.
If you can get the engine number then you can get in touch with heritage and pay them to do you a heritage certificate off the engine number which will tell you the exact date of manufacture and the VIN number if you can’t find it and if you have an engine number

Thank you for the information, Cagy.
