i have been looking for a decent tool set (spanners and socketry) for quite some time, i want a decent set that will last quite some time, as you probably expect i have been looking at snap-on tools but i dont have that kind of budget to allow me to purchased such high quality tools.

i have found a few brands that i would like you to rate:

Sealey, Franklin, Britool, Draper and Stanley.

also what am i looking for in a set of tools i have been told that i should look for “chromium vanadium steel” is this right and should i look are anything else?

i you could reply then i will be greatfull

the halfords pro range are good

i happened to work at halfords for a while and know that their professional range isnt all its cracked up to be. i did buy a 200 piece professional set for £200 and i used the socket set for the first time and the ratchet gave way, so i am against using their tools.
