Swapping A 59D To A 64Dm4

Is it just a case of making a couple of wires to module from the coil or do you need to change distributor drive as well 998 clubman standard engine change coil too?

I assume your clubman is a A+ engine with the fork clamp if you have a 59D4  yes you will need the 2 wires from the distributor module to coil and you will need a 12v coil feed, and the correct coil for the O.E Electronic Distributor is a CGL 143 or the O.E DLB 198

You need to check the Distributor model number and check it has the correct advance curve on any 65D4M, if you already have fitted the 59D4 and its not worn out then why not drop in a Powersparks/Accusparks/Britpart Module, they dont cause any issues and that way you getting the correct advance for your engine.
