No Mini left any factory with a 1380.
1961 to Jan 64 - 997 Cooper
1964 to 1969 - 998 Cooper (Mk’s 1 & 2)
1963 to 1964 - Cooper ‘S’ 1071
1964 - Cooper ‘S’ 970 (only just under 500 built)
1964 to 1971 - Cooper ‘S’ 1275 (Mk’s 1,2 &3)
1990 to 1991 - Cooper 1275
1991 to 1996 - Cooper 1275 SPI
1996 to 2000 - Cooper 1275 MPI

Perfect answer! but… always a but i have 80 city what engine would i have to put in that for it sort of become a cooper replica?
Thanks alot just what i was looking for
Shaun
If you mean a replica contemporary to it’s reg, there were no Coopers in 1980. It will always look like a home-made because of the reg.
ahhh okay thanks alot
The nearest you’ll get is a 1990 Cooper with a 1275 A+ block, 9-stud head and HIF44 carb with the 1990 Cooper inlet and exhaust manifolds. The head would have 33.5 mm inlet valves and 29.3 mm exhausts. It would have had a Verto clutch and the engine would have been mounted about 1/2" further forward with a longer top steady bar. Diff ratio would be 3.1:1 and wheels would be 4.5" x 12" Minilites. It would have had the Cooper interior with 3-dial dash binnacle in front of the driver. Exhaust would be about 1.625" diameter as original.
Paint colours would need to be as the 1990 cars with Cooper badges and transfers and bonnet stripes.
Brakes would be 8.4" discs with the built-in servo and rear drums would have the built-in 1" spacer.
It is recommended to have solid front sub-frame mounts.
Then it would be quite close to a 1275 nCooper replica, although, as dan so rightly says, the number plate would give it away, unless you bought a personalised plate to suit the car or to suit you.
