My 1995 Mini Sidewalk (1.3i) stalls when braking after about 25miles of running. I have changed the plugs, leads etc and had the injector unit cleaned. It doesn’t happen until the car has been run for about 20 -25 miles and is intermitent even then. Can anyone help?
Mine did roughly that .. It turned out the radiator had a hole in it .. And most of the pipes leaked..
Not saying yours has .. But, it seems similiar to what mine did..
Is it running rich, have you tried the vacum hosess that was a problem for mine if you have a leaky vacum hose the ecu thinks its not gettting enough air into the system and trys to compensate for it, i have a spi and if i came upto a round about or junction it would stall, and that seemed to sort it for me hope this helps.
This can also be an issue with the idle speed controller, as happened on my 91spi
Try the dizzy as well just looked at mine was all nasty inside and might help. If you cant find the problem then go to a garage which can check ecu’s and tunes as well. cost me about £60 and the change in the vacum made a world of difference!!! purd like a kitten.
