Ok here we go.
The problem I have is with the ignition off
I have side lights and headlights as you should.
With the ignition on just head lights
That’s first click on switch headlights
Second click headlights
So no sidelights first click its headlights
Could someone help please
Not knowing the age of your car at a guess I’d say your car has DimDip where you cant have sidelights on once the ignition is switched on, if its bothering you you can disconnect it, as its not a legal requirement and a wim law brought in and then dropped
As I have explained on PM Paul you will have a red dim/dip relay in the dash that will illuminate the headlights when the headlight switch is in the sidelights position and the ignition is on. My mini does exactly the same thing.
It was a modification to meet EU daylight driving light regulations.
