I want to do in in car video of driving my mini, how have people mounted thier cameras when doing same?

this is something i would like to know as i plan on doing a video of minis next year, shaky hand held shots dont looks so good

I parcel taped mine to the top dash rail aha, ghetto style

danrock is there any chance you can let me know if that single suction one is any good if you get it? dont want to put a camera on the outside like that and have it fall off lol if you could let me know over a pm or something that would be great! cheers

I got a block of wood and sat it on the rear parcel shelf, then ziptied the camera to the block. oh and I rolled a load of gaffa tape over so it was sticky on the outside and used that to secure the wood in place so it didnt slide around.

I have something similar (Hama 4040) - works great with a smal camera (~400g)

Before I had this pod, I strapped the cam to the passengers head rest.
Also worked good and gave a nice point of view, depending on the camera’s lens angle.

Would you trust your expensive camera with a £5 mount though?

well I don’t really have an exspensive camera I could probably replace it with the price of the first one, if I had a exspensive SLR then i’d deffo get a good mount

I have my phone in one of the windscreen suction things. I got it from halfords so i can’t use the sat nav. It’s a bmpy ride in a mini, especially on the roads i go on and it hasn’t fallen off or fallen out yet. And i figured if i wanted to used it to video i could just stick it higher up on the windscreen.
