as title says will it fit a 98/R mpi? is it easy enough to fit also is it worth doing?

Well it doesn’t seem like a KAD quickshift, they retail more like £85 - £90 Example at Minispares.
that ebay one looks quite different too
I drove a car with a cheap one fitted, was very hard to get in gear and I had no idea when I was in reverse, felt like 4th.
Yep definatly a copy. I have one knocking around somewhere. Did get it so work eventually but you need to sand the ball downs o that it is smaller.
Took it off in the end and bought a proper KAD one and have never looked back!!!
I have one on my 98 MPi, although the gearbox is a 5 Speed TRAN-X unit. I assume it’s a KAD as it works perfectly, nice and positive in all gears.
You do need a while to get used to it as there is very little movement when engaging gears, i.e. I stil go first to fourth sometimes!!!
