The second one. Looks much better. Griffin - great second name mate
Also if anyone knows of a plate with ROA81E or ROA61E give me a bell.
Also I found out that LOW16K was never issued, but then again the same site said my mini’s plate was never issued! LOWICK is my second name, I’d like to know if anyone has this plate and if so how much do you want for it?
I’m still looking for GUE 55 ( fat chance ! )
ps… go for the second
bit more photoshopping and it seems to look a bit better. just wondering if its close enough and worth the expense?
rob
To be honnest, if you are plannening on useing this B*****dised reg plate on the road, then you will get busted big time.
It is pretty smart like, and the second one was much better!
There is “B1NGF” going for £1k on a plate website. I wouldnt mind it and stick a bolt on the far right. See attachment…
<|Ben|>
does anyody know the law oaround this subject because i wouldnt mind S1M0NG6 but have been told it would be illegal by a mate
Apparently you have to use the standard font on licence plates, so your not allowed to make numbers look like letters or anything. Check out the DVLA website.
Also sticking the little screw covers in the wrong places with contrastin colours will get you in trouble, my mates is T80RNY his surname is thorney he put yellow screw covers on the top and bottom of the 8, to make it look like a H…TH0RNY. Got pulled and told to take them off or take a fine! But still up to you if you think its worth the risk?!
I’m probably going to cause a bit of controversy here, but I just think getting a personalised plate is just one way of showing that you have far too much money, I mean paying hundreds or thousands or punds to get a plate that remotely looks like your name, or worse, some word like KINKY or NUM 1 or something, why not just spend the money on the car making worthwhile upgrades, or a holiday, or even better, give it to my charity to replace substandard parts on my travelling machine!!
well it was offered by my rents so im not going to turn it down am i. they want to buy me something for my 18th that i will keep for a long time - a mod for the mini isnt going to do that. im also not the kinda person whos into his jewelery (sp) so there isnt that many options left
Mine is done M* 8OAB and only cost £250 off the DVLA site. I think it is www.dvla-som.co.uk
why do u want those plates??
they dont look private!
not a case of looking private and flashy, i want to personalise my car with something that means something to me!
£250 thats a good price.
unfortunately they dont seem to do any personalised plates starting with H that i want.
im after H19 DOM if not H19 MCM
this is what the dvla site came up with…
E19 MCM £599
G19 MCM £499
N19 MCM £250
T19 MCM £250
V19 MCM £399
W19 MCM £399
X19 MCM £499
Y19 MCM £499
E19 DOM £999
X19 DOM £499
Y19 DOM £999
The second is best IMHO, Rob. But beware of mucking about with No. plates since they play a key role in the government money-raising enterprise known as speed cameras.
My dad’s nickname was Ham, which is one of the Wiltshire registrations, so he had no probs!
It’s been suggested before on this forum I think (and originally in Viz comic) that it’s cheaper to change your name to fit your numberplate!
You getting 19 as your age?! If so, I wouldn’t because then it will be out of date in a year, I’d go for birth year instead.
If this is a gift from your parents then you really don’t want to mess about with the way you display it, as the current penalty is a fine (which is fair enough) but they also WITHRAW the registration. You never own your registration number, it’s just a number which gets issued to you so they can take it back whenever they want to. I’m sure your parents won’t be happy if they spend out on it and you only have it a few weeks.
They probably chuck a few points at you as well just because they can!
I think using your initials is far more classy than trying to spell your first/surname as you cant ever actually spell it and it looks ridiculous. I was looking at ‘21 AJN’ but then had to slap myself for being so self absorbed. ouch. it was only 500 plus VAT though. Tempting bargain.
