would like to see pictures of minis with the bumpers and lips removed both front and rear
and if possible pictures of matt black minis
you mean like this

I also want to do this and have some time off this week, do you just grind off the lip and then smooth over with some filler and paint?
pic of the back of mine an im now about to upload a pic of the front in matt black wen i was undecided on colour it was matt black at 1 point ,just gotta wait for photobucket to hurry up

matt black sort of lol

> I also want to do this and have some time off this week, do you just grind off the lip and then smooth over with some filler and paint?
no dont just do that you need to do it a little bit at a time and weld it up as you go along i have never done it so someone else will be along to tell you how to do it properly soon
the front you have to drill off an the back you cut 2 or 3 inches then leave 2 or 3 inches then cut again ,then once them bits are all welded up the cut the rest of an weld them then smooth off filler primer paint
why would you need to cut a bit off at a time and weld? its just a lip that is spot welded from what i can see on a new front panel i have in the loft.
But i could be wrong so any advice as mentioned above will be helpful.
cheers
Steve

the front is spot welded but the rear is 3 panels remeber ,back panel, boot floor an rear valance all spot welded throught the lips so if you cut the hole rear lip of at once the rear valence will just fall off if im right , so people find it easier to do it like that i know its more faffing around but hey thats how i done mine
sorry for the confusion guys i was refering to the front end to start with i dont have the time to do the back properly just yet plus i need to repair a section of the boot floor or the complete boot floor if im unlucky.
