Painting over underseal

Ive used some hammerite underseal on the internal rear floor panels of my car. Due to my interior and car beiong white i wish to paint over the underseal. Can i do this? does it work fine or will the top layer paint crack as the underseal never actually dries, but stays tacky? has anyone done this and had any good/bad look? If i need to remove the underseal and just paint fresh white onto the metal surface whats best for removing underseal that has been on for about 1 week?

Thanks

Neil

You can’t paint over underseal, if you want to paint over the protection stonechip is the only thing…

sommit like this… Clicky

but find a local trade autopain supplier and you should get it for a few quid a litre, but you will need a compressor and a shutz gun.

so what will happen if i paint over it? how do i get it off? lots of whitre spirit and lots of cloth?

paint wont stick to the stuff, cloth and white sprit will remove most of it, remove it and paint the floor then waxoyl it
