ok has any one had this problem …i fitted a few week ago a second hand cam belt it .i changed the seals to new but .. i have noticed a small amount of oil on the inside of the upper cam nut …is this a worry .there is none on the belt it self and i dont mean much ..but i do know it was clean when i fitted it …problem or not?
oil on belts is bad… causes them to detirorate.. and its best to fit a new belt if you havent allready,

You can’t have had a diesel van like mine I dare say oil doesn’t do 'em any good but I doubt it’s about to snap because of it.
no sorry …looking at it in a different way ..is it normal to get a very small amount of oil on the wrong side of the cambelt seal..if so should i just go back to a duplex again..
