Hi guys
After driving down to mitp successfully, I went to start my mini to go home and on turning the key the dash lights come on but nothing happens, no clicking, nothing. With the help of a fellow mini owner we bump started it and it drive fine on the way home.
Is this the starter motor?

Check the starter motor relay
(The yellow cube thing near on your left when you open the bonnet)
Check the starter solenoid is yours is mounted on the left hand side on the inner wing? if so check the wiring and make sure the bracket on the inner wing has a good earth,
Well I went to fix the mini today, before prodding electrics I cast an eye over the haynes manual and it said to put it in gear and rock back and forth as it stated the starter motor pinion could be jammed. Anyway I rocked and it fired to life so i took it for a spin round the corner.
Next thing i noticed… the f**$%&g speedo cable has gone again
