I have two visor screens going into my mini, and possibly a larger in dash one also. What I’m wondering is how do I get both screens to show the same thing, i.e. share the input? and if this is possible would it be conceivable to split the output from the same source so that for example with an xbox, the left visor was the top or left of the display and the right visor the bottom or right part (that would be great for two player gaming…)?
i have looked at this same problem before, you can split the video lead.
generally the screens with have 3 phono plugs;
red - audio right
white - audio left
yellow - video
what you need is phono adapter available from maplins or similar shop ;

connect both video leads in and then connect to a phono coupler;

this is now attached to the xbox video lead. now you have the same picture on each screen. to get seperate player screens it will depend on your screens as there is no real way of “splitting” the picture. all you can do is adjust the screen position to suit and maybe strech the screen. if the stretch and move options are both avilable i would say that it is quite possible you could produce seperate player screens.
the only downside being that when u exit 2 player mode the screen would still be split.
for the audio you can either use the coupling method, one for the white phonos and another for the red then connect directly to the red and white phonos on the xbox lead. or alternatively bring your games to life by connecting the xbox’ red and white phonos to your head unit if it is compataible. i know most new alpine , sony and possibly pioneer do an auxillary input. but this usuallly entails an expensive connection wire due to no one supplying them. mine for my alpine unit was £40 but it does mean i can search for tracks on my ipod from my headunit which is pretty darn cool.
hope this is of some help

As for the 2 player gameing. I think you need 2 consoles and link them to do that.
What you need is a video amp.
This takes one input and splits it into how many you want, not expensive..
£25
