Ok, Im at 2 minds wheather to rush out and get a dash, or wait until I get my insurance and go to a mini show / auto jumble.
Now first of all, Will my mini pass an MOT without a dash. I know minis arent standard with a dashboard, BUt I dont even have the clock cowl. My clocks are just cable tied to the dash rail.
Secondly, Would I beable to pick up a dashboard at a mini show?

Yes you can pick up a dashboard at shows, I got mine at a show and got it £30 cheaper and also saved on postage and packing… so definitely worth it!!!

as long as they are working and unlikely to fall in your lap while driving, then should be OK

Tried and failed. It looked poo.
I had plans, Good plans. It fitted really well and that, but I couldnt get a nice finish (like carbon fiber or brushed alloy.)
Also couldnt get a clean cut circle for the clocks.

ah, you need circle cutters to do them… I got a set from the local pound shop ( cheap skate that I am ) but I had to pay for the big ones which do the old speedo size…
But I know what you mean about the finish, I have a habit of putting vinyl and foam on them so only using the MDF as a base…
