MINI PROJECT FOUND?

hi, i found this on ebay, i am close enough to veiw on our behalf is anyone else?
if we got enough people we could all pay a set amount i.e 20 people would pay £50 each and we get 1K easy, it won’t cost that much but you get the idea, i would donate this sum for the project car, anyone else like it?

ebay

i think it could be what we looking for,
like i said i Can view it and get an hpi check

Theres no way that will go for a grand! A car without an MOT is worth less than a few hundred quid!

that was an example!

Ahhh, sorry, but I didn’t see anything that said it was jsut an example, will remember to read minds next time!

i believe the project car should be a 1960’s mini cooper or something. like a knackered couple of hundred quid job, with people working on it at different times. what you think?

I guess it depends on the style of the job, classic or modern? And how long its around before everyone chooses. It looks decent to me, may need some more info on rust etc before i would say anything.

classic and looking normal and slow. With a beast of an engine

Offering to pay for the beast of an engine?

Aparantly the rust is only on one a panel of which one is suplied and the rest of the bodywork is ‘as should be for age’

Great to see there’s still some good interest in setting up a TMF Project Car.

My thoughts are that we should create a car that would be optimised for use on the Nurburgring, with safety being the big focus.

This is because the TMF is building its reputation on the 'Ring trip each year. It would then be great for members to have a car they could drive around the track knowing that it has roll bars, good brakes etc; and that they are not putting their own “mint” minis at risk.

We would effectively create a “TMF syndicate”, where those contributing to the car would build up driving time points; whereas other members would pay £15 a lap or such, to cover the cost of insurance, tyres etc.

The car could also be used at track days etc.

I’m thinking a 1275 engined car would be better than a 998, but nothing more powerful than a 1275; as we should keep a limit on its power so everyone can enjoy it (and not destroy it).

Thoughts?

thats a great idea.

cool, i really wan’t ot get involved in something, and speak to more mini-minded people, of cource i also wan’t to learn how to fix my own mini too!

the engine is red, that would suggest to me that it may well be a 1275.
i think they were the only engines that were red???
i could be wrong

i think you could be right as my 998 is an pukey snotty colour

p.s the mini sold for around £300

that is ok i am up for it . i could even oversee the project and teach you lads a thing or to about restoring .paint & preperation, and modification ,im sure some of the other traders would get involved in one way or another with my influence.
i have 3 clubby estates one of which would be a perfect project tmf.
i am working on some joint vertures with (mention no names) in the near future
& im thinking maybe this could be involved as well…

thats very generous of you A_SERIES_SUPPLIES im sure every one will be eternaly grateful to you for this

A_Series that is mega kind of you, maybe we could chat about it soon? A joint ASS and TMF venture, which could get to all the shows to show off your products?

Thanks Nick
