Hi, over the winter I’m thinking of changing the mini engine to something different. I’m looking into replacing it with either a honda b16 b18 vtec. Has anyone on here done this?
Also I’d there anything I need to be aware of? I’m a capable mechanic so can do majority of the work, but fabricating isn’t my strongest point.
The other issue is finding the engine, box and loom to come with it, without spending 3k on a car. So also I have thought of a Renault clio 172 transplant. Can pick them up for pennies.
What are your thoughts on this people?
