maybe another........

well Iv’e found another mini… 1979 with an 1100 that was rebuilt in march along with the trans. newly redone brakes… 8.4" disks up front, sit’s on 12x5" minilights and is brg with white roof and bonnet stripes. It’s mechanically a+ but needs some rust repair and a new paint job… right up my alley! I plan to drive it while I sort the body then paint it when it’s ready… probally by spring if i get it soon. right now I’m about 70% sure i’m gonna get it… just a couple things to figure out first. (finances etc.)if i do end up getting it i hope to leave as soon as saturday by plane to fly to vancouver, British Colombia (2.5 hour flight) and then drive back sunday or monday through the mountains for the 12-13 hour drive. This mini will take it’s place as the daily driver in my ever growing collection of minis.

Al

Al

Looks good except for the big sign in the rear window…

Bit of TLC and that will be sorted in no time .

Good luck Al!

well plane tickets booked… and everything is set to go… I’ll arrive at 18:10 on saturday evening then go straight to pick up the car… then enjoy sunday hanging around in british colombia an dthen drive home on monday. gonna be a short, busy, and extremely fun weekend!

Al

oh forgot to add… start thinking up names for me!

Al

Hee hee, just noticed the side repeaters and the crazy pointy looking wing mirrors, she’s been modded BC style!

I reckon you should call her Madge.

Cool, go for it Al* make sure its safe to drive before you go all that way.

How many minis you on now?

i admire your insanity al :cheese:

That mini looks great so is that three minis now? you are more obssesed than some of us this side of the pond and that makes it all worth the ticket and 12-13 hour drive, hope it all goes as planned and dont forget to get some piccys of the way back

well guys I got it back and I gotta say it runs great! pics will be up real soon. :cheese:

Al

… oh and the name I’ve decided on is “scab” as it is great on the mechanical end but on the outside it leaves lots to be desired.

Al
