**1990/1982:**
** ive just put an(1982) 1275cc metro engine in my mini 1000(1990), i had to muck about a bit with the water pipes, i drilled three little holes in the thermostate because the 1275cc engine never had a bypass hose fitted.
i left it running for about 30-40mins, the temp was slightly over the middle bar on the gauge, when i switched it off WATER CAME OUT OF THE OVER FLOW PIPE ON THE RAD, Im just thinking the 1275cc(1982)engine i put in used to have a expansion tank…is this normal to vent water if it gets hot???..ANY IDEAS??
