ha ha

I was driving in the ice today, so i was doing just under the speed limit. I was on a residential road approaching a round about when the chav in a nova behind me decided i wasn’t go fast enough so he over toke me. When i got to the round about i found skid marks and a nova on its roof in the MIDDLE of the round about. I checked to see if he was ok and then told what a complete Knob jockey HE WAS DRIVING LIKE and that it served him right. i am only 19 and its annoying to think that young drivers like him give me a bad name, and push my insurance up!!! :)

oops :saywhat: lol

i was out today and i saw a chav standing around jsut off a round about with his 106 wrapped around a LightPole LMAO

oh, my heart bleeds

Ha.. that sounds funny to see

Ive recently come from cars to bikes and im so surprised to see people who would normally be driving a hell of alot slower than me going way too fast in the snow. 2 people did the same thing on the way to pick my girlfriend up from work.

they were heading towards me , there were parked cars on their side of the road and not mine, as they approached the parked cars, instead of slowing down and waiting for me, decided to carry on at speed, as soon as they turned the wheel to move around the cars…the look of horror as the car carries straight on and they hit the parked car was priceless.

Why do the most sensible people never have any road sense?

Tom

I dont know, but its damned funny to watch

When I had my Mini, back when I was 17, I did a skid pan corse, just incase I happen to skid, and I know how to either hold the skid or get out of it.

But it amazes me, how many people think that a 4x4 will get up hills covered in snow, with road tyres!

Such a few weeks ago, when we were lucky to have snow, a woman said to me, “I shouldn’t of skided, and should of got up the hill, I mean thats what a 4x4 does!”

I replied politly and said “Well you woman think anything Big is good, but when it has the wrong rubber on, it won’t proform as well!”

We both smerked and she looked a bit embarsed because a kid knew what he was on about! :cheese:

people dont seem to slow down even when conditions are clearly not safe.

Its one way to learn how drift… NOT!!

> Its one way to learn how drift…
yeah, into a wall!

Or lamp post!

Ok I admit, I am driving a fiesta atm, but getting back into Minis, missed the big cheesy grin I got after driving one!

But people do think they are in a tank when it comes to snow and ice!

Road tyres are better in snow than offroad tyres or even all terrain tyres most of the time. I do a lot of offroading, we went out into derbyshire when it snowed heavy a couple of years ago and my dads range rover(on road tyres) didnt have any problems whereas my mate and uncle, one on off road tyres and one on all terrains were struggling. The road tyres have more grooves so bite into snow a lot better.

I’d love to see a boy racer crash in front of me after behaving like a t**t, serves them right!

There are people that go TOO slow though n that gets on my t*ts! Like doing 30mph in a 60 limit road where theres very little snow on the road, its an open, clear road and there going way to slow meaning i have to overtake!

people going to slow gets on my tits as well, but at the end of the day better safe than sorry.

tis true but sometimes its just not needed, suppose less capable or confident drivers should go slower but still, half the speed limit takes the pi*s abit on a road thats only really wet where your driving.

I found myself driving slowly down a road, perfectly straight, i went to accelerate a bit, and just got noise!

The speedo shot up, but i didnt go any faster… damned ice!

thing i hate is people who i follow at 40 all through the back roads (60) and who still do 40 past the school (20) when they get into town, its like they choose 1 speed for all conditions ONE thing we should adopt from the USA, you do over 20 in a school zone and your licence is toast.

As for driving on snow, ice (and wet leaves) some people just don’t know how little grip they have, people in 4x4’s especially drive fast because they think its fine, problem is they take longer to stop because they are heavy. Its bad enough up here but we get fair amounts of snow every year so people get used to it, hate to think what its like down south where people arn’t used to it.

exactly, the worst ice is the stuff you cant see. its a good thing it was a straight road. i would rather creep along with no dents in my mini than drive like an idiot and destroy all i have worked on.

just a shame it wasn’t a turbo metro, could of been another engine up for grabs

hmmmmmmmmmmmm TURBO
