Why do things just keep going wrong!!
She seems to be sort of fixed now, but shes still needs her new carb tuning up. Shes had so many things replaced now, but she still finds things that she can break!
Driving to work yesterday and her indicators stopped working, we pulled over and swapped the flasher box for a straight through connectory thing and still nothing. But then, when my fella was driving her home, they started working again of their own accord. WHYYY!!!
Shes driving me up the wall, theres at least 1 thing a day that will go wrong. But things also seem to fix themselves, so I never find the problem!
I thought Mini ownership was supposed to be fun?!! Its just annoying, im getting so fed up, my heads telling me to give up and get rid, but my hearts saying No!
Hazard switch or indicator stalk. Since the hazard switch is easier/cheaper to replace I’d start with that. Test you can do to see whether it is the hazard switch is; when its playing up again, disconnect the hazard switch, wrap a piece of thin wire around the bottom four contacts, and plug it back in. The indicators should now all come on.
I found with Reggie, that in the Winter he’d play up, just so he could stay at home!
Lily will be OK - She’s just had heart surgery, so she’s getting used to her new lease of life! A little more love and she’ll be right-as-rain and will take you all over the place again!
I know it’s difficult to put your trust in a car if things keep going wrong, I had it with Reggie for *ages* - But she will be alright, just trust her to serve you well and when it really matters, she will!

My first min did that all the time, and with the headlights too, and I never found out why, I just loved her so much I didn’t mind. I talked to her and they usually came back on. Have you tried singing?

my indicators stopped working yesterday too - I found if u flick on and off the hazards (they didn’t wrk, just pressed the switch anyway). Then I did the indicators and they started working again! its madness - it wouldn’t be a mini if it didn’t do that sort of thing tho!
if it makes you feel any better I’m having trouble with Dominic at the moment. found a list of things wrong with him last week and i was just changing a tyre that was very bald and the rubber bump stop fell off the suspension .
these thing happen now and again but you just have to look forward to the time when everything will be OK for a while
Plus I would make it rain and you know what Minis are like in the rain!
Their usually great in the rain, well mine is as it’s electrics are in good order and I’ve got my ignition weather shield in place. Plus as it’s nearly always raining cats & dogs here in Taffyland, there’s really no excuse to have a badly behaving Mini in the rain anywhere else in the UK.
