In my case I bought some twin channel off eBay and convert it to Mk1/II type sliding windows.

How do you go about doing this as im going to be trying this soon to

I looked into fibreglass door a while ago. I don’t know why they’re made with a slit in them, because the manufacturers state wind up windows cant be fitted…

I think to fit the perspex windows, you need to cap this slit for the glass off, in order for the perspex to sit ontop.

em my ones dont have a slit for the glass but the windows i bought polycarb windows that are bigger they must usually sit in the slider mech by about an inch so any help or ideas?

My dad manufactures and supplies polycarb windows. Some fibreglass doors are made with the original window slot in, in which case you can fit the window in as it would if it were glass and use self tapping screws on the lower edge of the window hole to hold it up in place without having to rivet all the way around the door.
Some fibreglass doors are made solid, in which case we have known people to trim the lower edge of the window and literally rivet the window to the outside of the door, or inside either way.
Easiest way, get some fibreglass doors with window slots!
Oh, and if you want the windows take a look at www.acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk
