Front sliding window sits in the outer channel. The rear window sits in the inner channel. Have you got the original type rigid window channel or the flexible rubber type?
Thanks minimanclive
I have the original type, mostly worried about the steel trim going back on after spending hours sanding and painting . It looks as if I have to half fit it before putting the rubbers in.
When I replaced the window channels on mine I left the outer frames in place. I was using the rubber window channel though.
you fix the surround frame to the body then you fit bottom channel into place (use sicaflex) then you fit outer forward window in first then inner back window and before you push all the way pop top channel onto glass then push home gently as its very tight with new channels once home use self tappers (counter sunk type) or glass wont close then cut the side channels to size and stick with sicaflex
Thanks guys for the great ideas. Got them in in one piece over the weekend.
Only the arches and a custom dash and wiring the lights to go. Then buff the whole thing.
