My temperature guage has never worked and now that my minski is getting a little older I’d like to get it going just so that I can see the temperature.
I changed the temperature sensor (on the head just under the thermostat valve) without any luck. Does anybody know what sort of resistance the sensor should have when hot/cold/proper temp? Maybe I’ve got the wrong sensor in there?
is this the right one for a 1994 1275 mini sprite clickey ?
What I would do is press the bare connector on the end of the wire against the block or other earth and see if the gauge registers all the way to hot, obviously you will need an assistant for this. If it does read hot you know the wiring and the gauge are fine
Yeah I’ve tried that and it’s all ok in terms of wiring. Can anybody tell me what the hot/cold resistances are for the temperature sensor so that I can compare them with my current one. I think I’m getting about 2kohm when cold and less when warm.
