Electrics - Where Does This Connector Go?

Hi,
Help please. Fitting a brand new standard loom to my 1979 Clubman saloon. We seem to have been able to work out most of it, but are stumped as to where this connector goes?

The wires are Blue & Yellow and Blue & Red and a black. According to the British standard colours. They are: Long range driving switch and Dipper switch, which I interpret as main beam, but surely these are connected already by the column stalk wires??

There is also a Blue with white trace in the engine bay off the main loom where it connects go the rear loom that has us foxed.

Finally we have this white and black traced wire that is coming out from the main dash connector plug. Which according to the standard could be: Ignition coil CB to distributor or Rear heated window to switch or fuse TAC ignition. The last seems most likely but where the heck does it plug in?

All help much appreciated!

The white/black is the trigger for the tacho, does the car have one? If not make it safe at both ends, the other is at the coil - or CB.

The plug I think is for the rear foglight? Usually mounted to the right of the column.
Blue/yellow is the fog light feed and the feed to the telltale built into the switch, is that a black earth going to it too? that would be the earth for the telltale. The feed should be blue/orange not blue/red looking at the haynes diagram, the blue/orange should be coming from a line fuse that only comes live with the lights on dipped beam, this could be under the dash or in the engine bay behind the air filter it has a plain blue in, blue orange out but could be that blue/red IMO, How red is the red, could it be an orangey red?

The blue/white in the engine bay I’m less sure about? It’s the main beam feed, could it be added in for spot lights or a spot light relay feed?

I see Kernowcooper is online who should have some opinions on it?

That’s all interesting. Thanks. The loom is supposed to be standard for a 79 clubman, so no tachometer and no fog light. Although will be adding a tachometer later. So as you suggest will make safe at the moment.

Looms are the same across most of the model range in any given year.  Options on one model that are standard on another, or will become standard across the range in the near future such as in this case, are often included in all looms.

I left my laptop on while I went out in the Mini, as Dan has pointed out there are a few wires not used but in the looms
