i no its boring and you’ve all got better things to do! but i’d really appreciate any opinions/help.
that said i dont want purists moaning at another butchered mini! i was when i got it and its better than it turned into a tin can or a euro box!
basically i took on an unfinished project and now find my self wanting a house so thinking of selling this beast and buying a daily run about (mini)
so i’d like any ideas of what its worth and where best to advertise.
the car is a 1978 clubman with v long MOT and tax.
the spec in BREIF is:
*de seemed shell
*1340 fast road/ rally engine (cam, ported head, bigger valves, double springs, pressed rockers, omega pistons, duplex chain, oil cooler etc etc)
*close ratio GT gearbox ap orange clutch set
*“S” running gear, grooved uprated disks, green stuff pads, remote servo
*custom colour coded/“flagged” 6 clock dash
*buckets
*harness’s
*fully adjustable suspension (camber castor brackets, bottom arms, HD tie bars, hi lo’s, GAZ adj dampers (lowered) etc..)
*host of new pannels
*new subframes
*most chrome/ furnishings new
*10" wellas with yokos
*caged
*kill switch fitted with new main cable run
*braided brake/clutch hoses
*new fuel lines
*small body kit and spoiler
*ok sound system with CD
*NO RUST
the bad,
*the paintwork could do with going over (i built this to trackday etc just never got round to it) so its not a show standard and a bit patchy
*if you try to drop down to second at high speed it will crunch unless you blip the throttle (its the synchro getting a lil weak, its not bad and in normal slower down changes its fine) perfect going up at any revs.
*front windows are a bit scratched
*engine needs a rolling road tune to unleash full potential
this is very breif the list could go on and on but it pointless as you get the idea a high spec fast road mini, basically just about everything has been renewed or restored and most bits uprated with quality performance parts not halfords TAT, that said it should ideally be seen as an ongoing project as isn’t every mini?
i’d appreciate any advice or oppinons.
