hey .
my car was having problems breathing and a lack of fuel was getting to pistons so i decided to remove and clean the carburetor and the fuel resovoir. i managed to put it all together and the car runs fine. BUT i cant remember where the choke cable went in and how it went it.
also i have 1 spring left over - i hope that has something to do with the choke.
if anyone could get me some pics of the same set up that it would be great
i have some pics provided so i hope you guys can help.
You Choke mechanism is on wrong…
I’ll try to explain…
There is a big spring which goes on first, the long end with the 90 degree turn parallel to the spring coild locates round the round lug towards the top of the carb… the choke mechanism is then put on ( without the rod to the waxstat jet ) so that the other end of the spring locates in the little notch in inner of the two choke mechanism plate ( the one without the curved cam )…
You then turn it clockwise so that the rod to the jet can be inserted into the hole ( towards the front of the carb ) and then onto the jet,
Tighten up the bolt…
