Centre Exit Exhaust

Ok guys, I swear there won’t be too many more questions!

Right, I’ve now got the exhaust system all on. Yay! However, I need some help. This is what I’ve fitted;

I’ve drilled a couple of holes in the subframe for mounting it, just where the metal bar is on the exit pipes. Am I right in thinking that I should be using a couple of cotton reel rubber mounts that go inbetween the bar & the subframe? Also, just behind the silencer there is a metal hook that the rubber hanger goes on. At the moment it’s way too close to car hanger. If I use the cotton reels will the distance seperate enough so that I can hang it properly?

Honestly, I feel like a complete biff for even thinking about asking this question!

I fitted the same exhaust to my sons mini, i used the front exhaust hanger under the car with a rubber hager as per original spec and then fitted the rear to the cross member using 2 x cotton real rubber mounts. the exhaust fell off after a short time due to a speed bump catching the intermediate pipe and knocking the whole system back leaving it detatched from the Y piece at the front. After a chat with minisport it was apparent that it needed to be more solid. I removed the whole system and refitted without the cotton real rubbers and mounted it solit to the subframe. I had to fabricate small plates as the mounting bar on the box was approx 20mm forwards from the subframe. this has cured the system working loose at the front from the Y piece and being knocked of again.
I’ll PM pics if reqd.

When I had mine 3" DTM (now removed - too noisy) I got a C bracket with mine which attaches to the subframe 1st.
I,ve knocked a quick picture up to demonstrate, sorry about the quality

I have a C bracket with no reel mounts and has been good so far, as for the middle hook I have small strap (about 3 inches) that goes between the hook and the rubber mounting.

So I’ve done pretty much what you did except not use the small plates on the subframe! Yeah, if it’s not too much trouble for you to send some pics over that’d be great!
