Can anyone please tell me where i can get a replacement fixing for the one shown in the picture, If somebody could link me to the right page somewhere that would be super helpful. Its the left side of the gear box on a cooper mpi. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can get them from here. Needed to replace mine the other day. Also i think the top bolt is missing off it if you have not removed it. If it is you will need to replace it.
Here is the link.
GBX3240
Gearbox Steady Bracket - front RH (heavy duty)
Mini Spares Centre, Moss Europe, Mini Sport, Rover Dealer, Scrap yard…
Pretty standard part, should be available from all the specialists.
Gearbox steady rod bracket RH, NAM3760
Mini Spares Centre also stock a heavy duty version of this bracket (made from thicker plate as this happens quite a lot) under part number KKU10080, for £13.00.
The bracket is just the same for carb and injection cars, but if you need to buy the rod as well for some reason then you need the slightly shorter injection version.
this is totally why i use this forum, Thanks guys that was quick replying.

also when it says front ride side is that from the drivers point of view. Any ideas where i can get the replacement bolt or can i get them from anywhere?

It’s just one of the standard flywheel housing shouldered bolts, should be available from everywhere. Just make sure they give you the right length as there are a few different lengths of bolt used to hold the housing in place.
