Black Cab Heater Valve

I’ve purchased one of these:

 to get rid of the leaking original type ones.

The question is how to attach the cable to the valve opener?  It’s just a prong-type arrangement. Looks like the black cab cable may have been designed with a loop over it.

Mine is a 96 SPi and it was a straight swap, IIRC it is a loop as you suggest,
