I might have em if he doesn’t!!

PLus how co,me you have a strap and a bar i thought it was one or the other?

Bar is for holding battery in, the strap is purely to hold that cover over the battery. You *should* have both

i see now.

I have neither LOL

ooh that looks alrite

how does it fit on where does that bar go, i have some holes either side of the battery (i think) would it go in there?

also you dont have any pics of it fitted by chance

cheers

where the two holes are the screw threads go on.
the the metal bar holds the battery on and the cover goes over the top of the battery and the strap hooks over that to hold the cover down.

Unrestrained battery means MOT fail. It’s dangerous, fix it.

The eye bolt is secured to the bracket at the back of the boot through the hole in the bracket by a nut and bolt, then the bar fits to this and is held by a washer and nut. At the front you fit the hook bolt into the hole in its bracket and again use a washer and nut to hold the bar secure, adjusting both nuts so as not to crush but just hold the battery tightly. This means that the hook end is closest to you when you need to get the battery out making it easier to remove the bar and refit. There should also be a rubber isolating strip under the bar along it’s length which is normally missing.

The strap is secured to the nut and bolt holding the eye bolt at the rear and holds down the cardboard cover (also quite an important safety feature). Its front end is clipped to a hook which should be secured under the battery earth cable retaining screw on the boot floor.
