Hey everyone, I’ve already left a post in the Tech section of this fantastic forum but thought it was a bit slack not to formally say hello!
My name is Tom, I have owned a 1995 BRG Spi Cooper with a stage 1 kit for just over a month now and I absolutely love it!!
Some things are meant to be:- having had a lorry write off my VW Camper recently, I decided I wanted a mini to put the fun back in driving and really wanted a cooper. In early October, when I phoned up a seller in Exeter to find out the details about his car he said that a previous owner had given the car a name and had the name professionally put on the bootlid. 
‘Oh God’, thought I, ‘it’ll be called Doris or Alfie or something’. Tentatively, I asked the name of the car…“Tommy”, says the seller! Of course the car turned out to be a genuine 50,000 miler with full service history and the deal was done on the first mini I looked at!!
I live in Perranporth and work in Truro everyday and you may well see my cooper with a 9’8" surfboard strapped to the roof when the waves are pumping!
Any local cornish owners fancy a fun cruise night maybe once a month??? Leave a post and if there’s enough interest maybe we could organise something?
