Hi just trying to decide what i want to do with the dash on my mini.
Has anyone ever used anything other than mini dials for the speedo?
I can understand that it is difficult due to the mini speedo being cable driven rather than electronic, is there any way to change this? I imagine that the other gauges are easier to use alternatives as they are electronic?
Wouldnt mind having something a bit more unusual.

from what i understand some cars have a chopper disk on the driveshaft and asensor next to it to sense how fast the disk is spinning, maybe you could do somthing along that line?
Pardon me for butting in, but that little green and white in your sig has Designer seats by the look of it…
It could be a Designer in disguise, reg. plate puts it in the '88 bracket. I’m trying to track them all down, do you know if it is a Designer?

The idea of the sensor could work. Think i will do a bit of reasearch into that.
Does MiniMonty just do the normal mini style gauges but with a different background on various different gauges?

me for a while.

Monty’s having a bath this weekend anyway Didn’t look like he’d taken any oil-spray abuse when we got back home.
I was actually on my way home from work, I’m on Hagley Road round about that time every night so chances are we’ll cross paths again if you’re local to that area.
I’ll do my best not to spray you with oil next week then - hopefully fixing it this weekend.
