I quite fancy one of the white Paul Smith imports - in case you haven’t already guessed, I love white Minis

That should be interesting..

but for me estimates are way too high…

I actually went to the auction today just to have a look, not to buy. The mini seven for £5500 to £6500 had about 8,500 miles and was absolutely stunning. Everything about it was essentially like a brand new car. It’s probably the one I would have bid on had I currently got the money.

The MK2 cooper was also very nice. The paintwork had a bit of surface rust arounds the edges of panels but was nothing major. The Paul Smith was also gorgeous, 67,000 miles and it looked pretty good.

The Cooper Sport was an odd one. The brochure claimed that it had a genuine 40 odd thousand miles and had MOT certificates to back this up but looking at the engine bay and the interior it looked remarkably like it was 140 odd thousand, it was a bit tatty so not really sure whats going on there.

I’m not sure what the final prices were because my dad dragged me away before I got ideas about the mini seven.

There were also some very nice other makes there. The ones that stood out were a Maserati 3500 GTi which was absolutely amazing and a Porsche 356 which was beautiful. There was also a Honda Accord which was cool in a retro way, it had done 20,000 miles and was obviously very tidy.
