Its a eBay scam, the car is legit though, its the bidders.
The car was listed a while ago aswell and never sold. Shame it looks a nice enough little car, but no-one will bid.

If you look on the eBay section on here it seems it was bid up as the people listing it had copied an ad from a few months back and it was believed to be a scam from the wording of the ad, hence why it was bid up to silly money. A case of eBay failing to police themselves and the car community doing it for them (unless of course it was genuine, but from what I saw I very much doubt that, a really nice mk1 for 3k but no contact through eBay and payment by PayPal only, then delivered to you, no viewings). It has been pulled now.
